Online course fees: $9.75 for an individual and $14.95 for a couple

The fee for a telephone class includes the class materials and the cost to send them to the debtor. It includes generating a certificate, sending a copy of that certificate to the debtor and, if requested, to the debtor’s attorney. There is no extra charge to file the certificate at the court.

The fee for an online course includes generating a certificate, sending a copy of that certificate to the debtor and, if requested, to the debtor’s attorney. There is no extra charge to file the certificate at the court.

A fee can be waived if debtor's income is less than 150% of the most currently published HHS poverty guidelines which are based on family size. If the debtor does not qualify under this standard, the following may also considered, including, but not limited to: whether the debtor receives unemployment, is filing pro se, the debtor’s net worth, the percentage debtor's income from government assistance programs; or whether the debtor is receiving pro bono legal services in connection with a bankruptcy case. We ask for verification of income and household size either from bankruptcy documents, proof of income, or an attorney representing the debtor.

The fee may also be waived, if the combined current monthly income of the debtor, including veterans, and his or her spouse combined, when multiplied by 12, is equal to or less than, (i) in the case of a debtor in a household of 1 person, the median family income of the applicable state for 1 earner; (ii) in the case of a debtor in a household of 2, 3, or 4 individuals, the highest median family income of the applicable state for a family of the same number or fewer individuals; or (iii) in the case of a debtor in a household exceeding 4 individuals, the highest median family income of the applicable State for a family of 4 or fewer individuals, plus $525 per month for each individual in excess of 4.

In a case that is not a joint case, current monthly income of the debtor's spouse shall not be considered if- (i) the debtor and the debtor's spouse are separated under applicable non-bankruptcy law; or (ii) the debtor and the debtor's spouse are living separate and apart, other than for the purpose of evading making payments; and (iii) the debtor files a statement under penalty of perjury.

Our policies prohibit us from paying or receiving referral fees for the referral of debtors to our company.

We may be required to disclose debtor information to the United States Trustee or the Bankruptcy Administrator in connection with the their oversight of our company, during the investigation of complaints, during on-site visits, or during quality of service reviews.

The United States Trustee and the Bankruptcy Administrator have reviewed only our instructional courses (telephone and online), and neither has reviewed nor approved any other services our company provides to debtors. (We do not offer any other services.)

We have an obligation to provide a certificate to the debtor promptly upon the completion of an instructional course.

A debtor/student will receive a certificate only if he or she completes a telephone or internet instructional course. Completion occurs when a student has participated in the live telephone class, completed the quiz, returned it to the provider, it has been graded and a passing grade (70) achieved. In this case a certificate will then be sent. If the student in a telephone class does not pass the quiz, a teacher will call that student and discuss the failing grade. Only after this communication takes place will a certificate be sent to the debtor. In the event a student taking the online class, completes it, but does not achieve a passing grade (70) on the quiz, a teacher will communicate with that person by email to discuss the failing grade. Only after this communication will a certificate then be sent to the debtor.
